Quite frankly there's no need for this cacophonous album to be 75 minutes long. It completely overstays its welcome, especially as this sort of music makes most sense in a live setting.

Simply beautiful, encompassing a wide range of styles, all of which work to make this more than the sum of its parts.

Mike Skinner comes across like Danny Dyer with a philosophy degree, but a closer listen revealed a satirical and lyrical depth to this album. Musically, however, I didn't like it.

Provocative and bleak, Reed's album is full of powerful songs.

This album thrives during its high-octane, high energy tracks - unfortunately they are rare and the album is instead filled with slower ballads which are unromantic, unconvincing and desperate.

Uplifting lyrics telling stories of survival and love, accompanied by powerful piano-rock - what's not to like about this album?

There's something about the sound of modern country that makes me switch off, but Darius Rucker just about got me to appreciate what he's doing. Just about.

I really hated this album. The songs are often filled with puerile humour as Jack Black parodies a metal band. Musically unpleasant and at times annoying.

Buoyant, punk-ish and even psychedelic at moments, this album brilliantly paints a vivid picture of Britain in the 90s full of wry popular culture references. 

American Pie is a bona fide classic, and while the rest of the album isn't quite as good, it has plenty of memorable tunes with interesting lyrics.

An album split in two, with the second half of the album being a selection of ambient tracks in which Bowie seamlessly blends sounds from East Asia, the Balkans and the Middle East. An admirable artistic endeavour that impressed me more than I enjoyed it.

This album is a bit different to Jones' more poppy work for which he is renowned , however, he demonstrates that his incredible voice is perhaps even more suited to this genre. 

Despite being repetitive and stupidly long, I can't deny there's some catchy, fun songs here.

This album is full of lesser-known songs that are of similar high quality to his hits. I haven't been able to get Border Song & Take Me To The Pilot  out of my head since I first gave this a listen.

There's nothing really wrong with this album, but there's also nothing really right about it either. It's 40 minutes of mid-tempo folk that to me was completely forgettable.

Sting's voice is not exactly to my taste but I admire the versatility and the variety of the album. However, I wish I could un-hear the abomination of a song  Mother, a truly awful auditory experience.

Whilst I am not affording Cash a full 10/10,  listening to the album made me desperately want to console the singer and give him a hug. A truly sombre album full of wonderful covers. 

A wonderful album that blends lofi and dance music style to create a really great mood. I enjoyed the funky inflections throughout, however, the album slightly runs out of steam by its penultimate track.

I fully admit this is not a genre of music I generally like, but there's a fair few songs I liked here, it's just way too long, and the lyrics are often puerile and misogynistic.

Nerdy and unconvincing as punk-rockers, Weezer's album is at its best quite catchy, whilst at its worst is somewhere in between boring and annoying. An album that left me feeling shortchanged, not just for its length, but also because they sound like a poor man's Green Day and I previously had high hopes having already heard Island In The Sun.
